Robert & Rosalie Brodie

Robert Brodie Jr. passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 81. Robert worked as a mechanic for the Philadelphia Gear Corporation for 38 years. He loved his job and woodworking. Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 21, 1931, he was a son of the late Agnus (Alvarez) and Robert Brodie, Sr. He was the husband of the late Rosalie L. (Capriotti) Brodie, who passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 30, 2010, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. They were married for nearly 60 years. Rosalie, a homemaker, who enjoyed sewing, knitting and arts and crafts, was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 10, 1933. She was a daughter of the late Julia (Angeline) and Luigi Capriotti. Robert and Rosalie were members of the Upper Merion Senior Center in King of Prussia, PA. They are survived by their loving family including three sons: Donald M. Brodie and his wife, Caroline, of W. Norrition, PA, Robert Brodie III and his wife, Sioux Irvin, of King of Prussia, PA and Allen Brodie and his wife, Jennifer, of Spring City, PA; 5 grandchildren: Robert IV, Allison, Betty Jane, Jacob and Donald Jr.; a sister, Vera Amicone and her husband, Tony; a brother, John Brodie; and many nephews and nieces. They were preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.A Memorial Service will be held for Robert & Rosalie at Chap's, 2509 W. Main St., Jeffersonville, PA 19403 on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 12:00 noon.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert and Rosalie's memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 3551 N.
