Robert C. Funderburk

17/2012Robert C. Funderburk passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. He was 63. Mr. Funderburk was a resident of Norristown, PA. He worked as an engineer for Amtrak in Philadelphia, PA.Mr. Funderburk was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving from 1970 to 1972.Born in Draper, NC on December 24, 1948, he was a son of the late Pearly and Mary Lee (Strawn) Funderburk. He was the husband of the late Caroline A. (Hamilton) Funderburk, who died in 2007. Surviving is his loving family including three sons: Robert C. Funderburk, Jr. of Limerick, PA, Eric F. Funderburk of Norristown, PA and Drew Funderburk of Norristown, PA; a brother, Jim Funderburk of Greensboro, NC; a sister, Kathy Funderburk of Eden, NC; two grandchildren, Glen and Lucy; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Delancey and Barbara Aulbert.Relatives and friends are invited to Robert's Memorial Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
