Robert J. Joos, Jr.

Robert J. “Bob” Joos, Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Shannondell Rehab in Audubon, PA. He was 86. Mr. Joos was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He attended Temple University, where he played football and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. Bob was a dedicated member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. He was a Notre Dame and NY Giants football fan. Bob enjoyed reading, especially war history and biographies, and watching movies, mostly westerns and action films. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Born in the Bronx, NY on March 14, 1930, he was a son of the late Augustine J. and Jeanette V. (Piccinni) Joos. He was the husband of the late Kathleen M. (McGibney) Joos, who died in 2003. Surviving is his loving family including four sons: Robert J. Joos, Jr. of Norristown, PA, Thomas V. Joos and his wife, Leigh, of Frederick, MD, Michael W. Joos of Wilmington, DE and Peter A. Joos of King of Prussia, PA; a daughter, Kathryn P. Joos and her fiancé, Thomas Wintermantel, of Newark, DE; three grandchildren: Elena & Eric Joos and Kalei Lilly; and two great-grandchildren, Skylar & Raena. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Connor Joos. Relatives & friends are invited to Bob’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. His viewing is Friday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA.
