Robert E. Kennedy

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Edward Kennedy of Philadelphia and formerly of Burlington, NJ announces his passing on Thursday October 4, 2018 at the age of 82. Bob was born in Philadelphia on January 5, 1936 the son of the late Katherine (nee Russell) and Robert E. Kennedy. Bob will be forever remembered by his wife Marian (nee Martin) (Pettit) Kennedy and her children Marian (Glenn) Heller, Jerry (Kimberly) Pettit, John (Sherry) Pettit, Kevin (Danielle) Pettit, Timothy (Arzu) Pettit, and their 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and extended family and friends. Bob was very proud of his role as a grandfather and great grandfather, his 30+ year career as an airline pilot for United Airlines, and his status as a Vietnam Veteran. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home 507 West Ave, Jenkintown, PA, and again to his visitation on Tuesday October 9, 2018 from 9:30-10:20 AM and to celebrate his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Both of these will be at Immaculate Conception BVM Church at 602 West Ave, Jenkintown, PA on Tuesday. His interment will follow Mass and be held at Resurrection Cemetery.
