Robert Anthony Moretti

Robert A. Moretti, 69, of Abington, and formerly of Jenkintown passed away Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 while in the company of family. Robert was born in Abington, PA on November 30, 1954. He was the oldest son of the late Josephine B (Messina) and Anthony Moretti.

Bob grew up in Jenkintown and was proud to have played football there. He was a former member of Immaculate Conception BVM Church and active member in the Jenkintown Community. He helped to ensure a lasting memory in Jenkintown by working with the borough to construct Cedar Street Moretti Park for the entire community to enjoy.

He worked for over 30 years as an accountant at Washington Savings Association until retirement. Bob loved watching and playing sports. He was often found at the basketball court in Jenkintown playing in the men’s league or walking around the neighborhood. He found a love of bocce ball in his later years with beloved friends.

Robert is survived by his son Jason (Larissa) Moretti, daughter Jessica (Ryan) Reitz, brothers James (Valerie) Moretti, Mark (Laura) Moretti and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, April 5th at Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Ave. in Jenkintown. A second viewing will be held 9:15 to 10:15 AM on Saturday, April 6th at Immaculate Conception BVM Church 602 West Ave in Jenkintown, PA and his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.

His Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, PA.
