Robert J. Moser, Sr. of Trooper, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013. He was 73. Born in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Oswald and Marion (Hansell) Moser. Bob grew up and attended high school in Conshohocken. He also took courses at Central Montgomery County Vo-Tech School and electrical courses through I.C.S. Bob served in the Marine Corps with the Second Marine Division. Bob participated in NATO maneuvers with the U.S. Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean as well as Operation Deepwater. Bob worked for many years as an Electrical Maintenance Mechanic including working 17 years at The Budd Company/Polychem Division, Continental Fibre Company in Bridgeport, PA. Bob also worked as Maintenance Superintendent for Adventure Park in Hatfield, PA; Phoenix Pipe and Tube Company in Phoenixville, PA; Superintendent of Construction for The Moser Group of Chalfont, PA; and Arnold's Family Fun Center in Oaks, PA. Bob taught his boys from a young age how to work with their hands. Even his daughter is pretty handy with a hammer thanks to her dad. Bob enjoyed sitting outside in the cool weather with his dogs reading a Dean Koontz novel and soaking up the sun. His son Carl Moser preceded him in death by 16 days. Bob is survived by 4 of his children from his marriage to Diane (Bakula) Moser; Robert (Linda) Moser of Swedesburg, PA, Mark (Dimitra) Moser of Billings, MT, Wendy (James) Rittenhouse of Trooper, PA and James (Tina) Moser of Mt. Pocono, PA; Bob is also survived by a brother, Edward (Stella) Moser of Lansdale, PA and a step brother, Charles (Louise) Lawler of Churchville, MD. Pop-Pop will be missed by his thirteen grandchildren, Tonianne, Joseph, Eleni, Anthony, Melissa, Justin, Cody, Robert, Christian, William, Tino, Adam and Zoey. A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday August 23, 2013 at 11 AM at Visitation BVM Church, 196 North Trooper Road, Norristown, PA 19403.
