Robert J. Plisiewicz passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at his residence in Bridgeport, PA. He was 65. Mr. Plisiewicz worked as a maintenance person for Fleming Foods in Oaks, PA, until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bridgeport, PA. Robert loved crossword puzzles and was a huge train enthusiast. Born in Norristown, PA on March 14, 1943, he was a son of the late Alphonse J. and Pauline M. (Moshtuk) Plisiewicz. Surviving are his loving family including a son, Robert A. Plisiewicz of Bridgeport, PA; two daughters, Rebecca A. Plisiewicz of Tennessee and Robyn A. Peters and her husband, George of Frackville PA; 12 grandchildren: Ashley, Matthew, Katie, Tiffany, Joshua, Ryan, Sam, Ben, Max, Alex, Maddie and Robert Anthony Jr.; a brother, Joseph S. Plisiewicz of Bridgeport, PA; a sister Gina M. Plisiewicz of Bridgeport, PA; a nephew, Andrew Plisiewicz; a niece, Lori Ponce.Relatives & friends are invited to his Panakhyda Service from The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Route 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 9:30am. Followed by Divine Liturgy at SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 519 Union Ave., Bridgeport, PA at 10:00am. Officiating will be Msgr. Dr. Ronald Popivchak, Pastor.His viewings will be Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30pm, with Parastas at 7:00pm; also Wednesday morning from 8:30 to Panakhyda at 9:30am, both at the funeral home.
