Robert "Paul" Quinn passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. He was 80. Mr. Quinn was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He was a former Philadelphia Police Officer and then retired as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service in King of Prussia, PA. Paul was a member of the VFW Post 7878 in King of Prussia, PA, the Hibernian Hall of Montgomery County and the Elks Club Post 714 in Bridgeport, PA. He was a life time member of the American Legion Post 672 in Dallas, PA, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 213 in Norristown, PA and the US Marine Corps Detachment in Valley Forge, PA. He was also a social member of the Swedeland Volunteer Fire Co. #1. Paul was an avid bowler. Mr. Quinn was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1948 to 1952. Born in Kittanning, PA on January 3, 1931, he was a son of the late Felix B. and Roberta M. (Heimlich) Quinn. Surviving is his loving family including two daughters, Donna E. Laffredo and her husband, Pat of Bridgeport, PA and Linda A. Quinn of Phoenixville, PA; four grandchildren: Michael, Kevin, Scott and Ebony; three great-grandchildren: Christian, Keavonte & Jayden; his former wife, Janet E. (Aric) Morris of E. Norriton, PA; two brothers, Felix B. Quinn, Jr. and his wife, Doris of Prescott Valley, AZ and Lawrence L. Quinn of Arkansas; and many nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:00pm. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday afternoon from 1 to 1:50pm, at the funeral home.
