Robert C. Sowers

Robert C. “Boots” Sowers passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017, at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. He was 73. Mr. Sowers was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He was a Postal Worker for the United States Postal Service. Boots had a good sense of humor and he enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, bird hunting and watching his sons playing sports. Robert was a proud US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam Era. Born in Norristown, PA on February 14, 1944, he was a son of the late William E. and Anna S. (Kadilac) Sowers. Surviving is his loving family including two sons, Shawn E. Sowers and his wife, Michelle, of Warminster, PA and Robert J. Sowers of Royersford, PA; two granddaughters, Gabrielle and Jaclyn; a brother, Edward Sowers of Florida; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and William Sowers; and three sisters: Shirley Adeline and Mildred. The family will receive relatives and friends at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 10 to 11:50 am. His Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be private.
