Robert F Stachelek

Robert F. Stachelek age 84 of Audubon passed away on December 5, 2021 at Einstein Montgomery Hospital. Bob struggled for two weeks with COVID until he succumbed to the deadly virus. Bob was born in Norristown on August 28, 1937, to the late Joseph and Theresa (Clay) Stachelek. His wife, Nancy M. (Jay) passed away on December 23, 2006. Bob was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He worked for Alan Wood/Lukens for about 50 years, He was one of the best Furnace Operators and was well respected and well-liked by all his co-workers. He would join the Retiree Luncheons to keep in touch. Known by many as "Bobby". Bob was a man of great faith and a servant of the Lord He was an Usher and actively involved for almost 50 years to his church at St. Teresa of Avila. Bob was an avid weightlifter since the age of 17, Competing at Holy Savior in Norristown and Spring Valley YMCA. He won his last competition at the age of 81. Bob enjoyed playing his electric guitar. He participated in bocci and bowling teams. He liked to make and fix TV's and radios. He enjoyed going to the Casino with his wife. Most of all, Bob enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. Family meant the world to him. He was dedicated husband and father and loved his family dearly. He is survived by 4 children; Gary Stachelek (Jackie), Darlene Huston (Dave), Tanya Riad (Hassan) and Robert Stachelek (Lauren): sister, Patricia DeMito (Daniel); brother, Doug (Diane); 7 grandchildren, Christopher Borai, Dustin Borai, Casandra Savage, Kaelin Stachelek, Lauren Harkins (Wish), Arielle Stachelek and Sophia Riad; companion, Ellen; 3 nephews, John Parker (Joanne), Curt Parker (Shay) and Paul DeMito (Tammy). The funeral will be private.
