Robin Clarissa Parker age 70 of Norristown, Pa. passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Einstein Montgomery Hospital. She was born the second youngest of 9 children in Norristown on February 21, 1954, to the late Ronald and Clarissa (nee Jenkins) Robbins. She is also preceded in death by a son, Donald III; 7 siblings, Ronald, Charlotte Reed, David, Barry, John, Jerry, and Edward.
Robin is survived by her daughter, Melissa A. Krueger (Kenneth); sister, Ida Jane Heyser (John); 2 grandchildren, Kyle Krueger, and Mackenzie Krueger; and her ex-husband and friend, Donald Parker Jr.
Robin will be missed deeply by her family and friends. Her dedication to the sport of dragon boating was passionate and enduring. As the leader of the Norristown Dragon Boat Club and a former coach for the Team USA Women’s team, Robin inspired countless paddlers and members of her community with her charisma and joy. Robin also had a strong connection to her community as a two-time president of Norristown Rotary club. Her tenure there has helped the community in many ways, including the installation of a Butterfly Garden in West Norriton.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
