Ronald Carpenter passed away at the age of 94 on Sunday October 4, 2026, after a long battle with cancer and heart issues. He was a long-time resident of King of Prussia for 65 years, and a loving, generous, and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born in Philadelphia on April 15, 1932. Ron is the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Virginia Roberta (nee Graff) Carpenter. Raised in Philadelphia, he graduated from Mastbaum High School. He then joined the Army in 1953. He retired from Philadelphia Gear Works. He married his wife Joan in 1956, and was married for 67 years. He was known for his love and hard work to care for his home and yard, and his family, and was a kind member of the community who treated everyone with love and kindness. He enjoyed vacationing in Cape May, Maine, Florida as well as taking his wife and daughters across country, coast to coast, for a month by car. When he could no longer travel, he enjoyed relaxing in the family room, enjoying the view of his yard and wildlife, especially the deer that would visit frequently.
Surviving him are his daughters: Tracy Whalen and Karen (Joseph) Wallace: and four grandchildren: Bradley Whalen, Renee Whalen, Kacy Wallace and Kelly Wallace. Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas, William and Charles, and his sister Ethel.
