Rose C. (Cicchini) Longo passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, PA. She was 80. Mrs. Longo was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She graduated from South Philadelphia Girls High School. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA, their Congretta Society. She was also a member of the Upper Merion Senior Center. Rose was an avid gardener, she enjoyed bingo and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 21, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (Zirpoli) Cicchini. She was the wife of the late Rocco F. Longo, who died in 1993. Surviving are her loving family including a son, Thomas M. Longo and his wife, Adonna of Plymouth Meeting, PA; three daughters, Theresa R. Jordan and her husband, Dana of West Conshohocken, PA, Rosemary L. Mazza and her husband, Michael of Bridgeport, PA and Paula L. Gilligan and her husband, Patrick of King of Prussia, PA; 13 grandchildren: Jennifer, Cynthia, Sandra, Randi, Dana, Michael, Thomas, Quinn, Rocco, Stephen, Concetta, Thomas and Shane; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Doran of Parksburg, PA; and a daughter-in-law, Margaret C. Longo of Pottstown, PA. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen R. Longo; a granddaughter, Alicia R. Hultin; 2 brothers, Thomas Cicchini and Dominic Mastrangelo; and a sister, Rita Bartolomew. Relatives & friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 10:00am. Her viewings are Tuesday evening from 6 to 8pm, at The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 and Wednesday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose's memory to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, 115 Broadway, 13th Floor, New York, NY 10006 and/or the Chester County Association for the Blind, 71 S. 1st.
