Rose M. (Petrucci) Valerio

January 2, 1925 — March 4, 2013

Rose M. (Petrucci) Valerio passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at Brightview in E. Norriton, PA. She was 88. Mrs. Valerio was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, PA. She was a graduate of the former Bridgeport High School, Class of 1943. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA, where she was a member of the church's Congrega, the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality, the choir, and an annual feast worker. She was also a member of the Bridgeport Senior Citizens and a former den mother with the Cub Scouts. Every year for 50 years, Rose went on a one day retreat at the Dominican Retreat House in Elkins Park. The Valerio family would like to thank the entire staff of Brightview for the loving care they gave our mother. Born in Bridgeport, PA on January 2, 1925, she was a son of the late Francesco and Alesandrina (Fiore) Petrucci. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Valerio, who died in 2009. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Joseph F. Valerio, Jr. and his wife, Denise, of King of Prussia, PA and Thomas M. Valerio and his wife, Beth, of Blue Bell, PA; two grandchildren, TJ Valerio & Drew Valerio; a brother, James Petrucci of Norristown, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas & Carl Petrucci. Relatives & friends are invited to Rose's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10:00 am. Her viewings will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8:00 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405; also Friday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose's memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 and/or the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.www.bacchifuneralhome.com
