Russell D. Hoff, 91, of Warrington PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20,2016, while in the company of family, at his residence. He was the husband of Joan (Fedoriska) Hoff and the later Ellen M. (Meehan) Hoff and father of the late Bryan and step father of the late Robert Fedoriska. Russell was born in Doylestown, PA on October 19 1924, a son of the late Laura (Travis) and John Franklin Hoff. He was a member of St Robert Bellarmine Church in Warrington. Drafted into the 106th Division on 11 March 1943. Russell attained the rank of Staff Sargent as a heavy machine gunner. He received a Bronze Star and Good Conduct medal as well as a purple heart for wounds received during the Battle of the Bulge on December 18 1944. Captured on Dec. 19 he was held prisoner in Stalag 9A and 9B being liberated on Good Friday 6 April 1945. He was a master woodworker and builder of custom homes and President of Warrington Athletic Association 1973 He is the beloved husband of Joan (nee Fedoriska), Loving father of Gerald (Susan), Thomas, Stephen (Stacy) and Carl Elker, and Step children Jim Fedoriska and Glenna (Dale) Taylor. Devoted Grandfather of, Jessica, Julia, Ian, Brianna (Harry) Steglich and Sara. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday, August 25th at St. Robert Bellarmine Church at 856 Euclid Ave. Warrington, PA. 18976 His interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd.
