Russel A. Seiberlich Russell A. of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Monday March 27, 2017 at the age of 83 peacefully at home in the comfort of his family. Russ was the beloved husband of Theresa (nee Haeckner) for nearly 61 years. He was the loving father of Russell (Linda), Theresa (Michael), Susan (David) and Helen. He adored his 9 grandchildren, Lauren, Brooke (Justin), Russell, Brianna (Danny), Liz, Colette, Wynnie, Maeve and Blaise. And he cherished his 3 great-grandchildren Avery, Weslee and Fiona. Russ was a Philadelphia Fireman for 32 years, starting his career at Engine 25 on 4/30/56 and retiring from Engine 38, as a Lieutenant on 9/9/88. Although he enjoyed his time spent at all of his stations, his favorite were the 13 years at Ladder 23 at 10th and Cherry. In addition to serving his city, Russ served his country in the United States Army from 1957 through 1959, where he was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX. Russ was lovingly devoted to his family as a husband, father, pop and pop-pop and lived to serve the city of Philadelphia as a fireman. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Russ's life at a viewing on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Walter J Meyers Funeral Home 6645 Torresdale Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19135. An additional viewing will be on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 9 - 9:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM, both at St. Leo the Great Church 6658 Keystone St. Philadelphia, PA 19135 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russ's memory to American Liver Foundation – Delaware Valley Chapter.
