Ruth Beaucheane, aged 103 years and 6 months, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8th, 2024, at the Philadelphia Protestant Home. Born in Philadelphia on May 20, 1921, to Francis A. Flynn and Margaret Blew, Ruth's life was a testament to love, strength, and dedication.
Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Beaucheane, who passed away on October 19, 1976. She was also a cherished sister to the late Francis A. Flynn.
Ruth's life was filled with passion and a deep commitment to her community. As a former member of St. Leo's Church and its women’s association, Ruth's faith and generosity touched many lives. She served as the president at Vogt Seniors and the Sunshine Club, roles in which she spread joy and kindness. Ruth was actively involved in civic duties, working at the polls as a republican committee person, and was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Her career in sales at Strawbridge and Clothier reflected her exceptional people skills and warm demeanor.
Ruth's greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary (Francis) Pultro, Ruth (Tom) Bottoms, and Teresa Desiato, and her three sons, Joseph Beaucheane, Gerard (Terry) Beaucheane, and Robert (Regina) Beaucheane. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Ruth's nurturing spirit also extended to her niece, Mary Catherine Betts.
Ruth lived her life with an infectious passion and enthusiasm, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
