Ruth H. (Girard) Loudon

Ruth H. (Girard) Loudon passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2015 at her residence in Norristown, PA. She was 97. Born in Bridgeport, PA on June 4, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Irving and Mary (Mitchner) Girard. She was the wife of the late Andrew J. Loudon. Surviving is her loving family including two daughters, Margaret A. (George R.) Guest of Eagleville, PA and Joyce E. (Horace H.) Drake; and two grandchildren, Jean A. Guest and George A. Guest. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Wolf and Anna Mae Deemer.Ruth was a co-founding life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7878 in King of Prussia, PA, a member of the Radiant Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star Number 96 in Norristown, and a member of the American Institute of Banking. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Ruth's Funeral Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 11 AM. Officiating her service will be Reverend Mary Lake of the Gulph United Church of Christ and Reverend Purchase. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 9 to 10:50 AM. Interment will be in the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, 352 South Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to the VFW National Home for Children, 3573 S.
