Salvatore "Tootie" Granese passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. He was 86. Mr. Granese was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He was a retired printer. Tootie was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA, LAM Valley Forge 1776 Sons of Italy and the St. Salvatore Society in Norristown, PA. Mr. Granese was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.Born in Bridgeport, PA on January 20, 1927, he was a son of the late Joseph and Amelia (Volpe) Granese. Surviving is his loving family including two brothers, Ernest "Ernie" Granese of Plymouth Meeting, PA and Joseph C. Granese and his wife, Mary Louise, of E. Norriton, PA; two sisters, Theresa E. Marconi of Bridgeport, PA and Eleanor M. "Lenny" Genuardi and her husband, Salvatore, of Corona Del Mar, CA; and many nephews and nieces. Salvatore's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tootie's memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405.Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA.www.bacchifuneralhome.com
