Salvatore D. 'Sal' Perry

Salvatore D. “Sal” Perry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville, PA. He was 86. Mr. Perry was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a carpenter for 35 years. Sal was a member of the former St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA. He enjoyed watching the Philly Eagles, going to Sea Isle, NJ, and loved fine dining and dancing with his wife every weekend. Sal was a hard worker who always helped family and friends with remodeling and repairs. After two years, he still missed his toy poodle, Bridget.   Sal was a US Army veteran of WW II who served as a cook in the Mess Hall and he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.   Born in Bridgeport, PA on September 13, 1928, he was a son of the late James and May (DeAngelo) Perry. He was the husband of the late Mary M. (Strouse) Perry, who died in 2002. Surviving is his loving family including a daughter, Grace & Dominic Venezia of E. Norriton, PA; a grandson, Dominic Venezia, Jr.; three great-grandchildren: Zachary, Abigail and Madelyn; a brother, James & Andrea Perry of King of Prussia, PA; a sister, Shirley & Tom Bonner of Harleysville, PA; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christine Venezia; two sisters, Jenny DiNardo and Mary Cahill; and two brothers, Fred Patrino and Albert Perry.    Relatives & friends are invited to Sal’s Funeral Mass at the St. Augustine Worship Site, 464 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 11:00 am. His viewing will be Tuesday morning from 10 to 10:50 am, at the worship site. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
