Salvatore “Sal” Bello Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Italy, Sal immigrated to the United States in 1975 in search of opportunity and a better future for his family. Through hard work, determination, and pride in his craft, he built a successful construction business that became not only his life’s work, but also a legacy proudly passed down to his two sons.
Sal was a strong, hardworking man who devoted his life to his family and to the simple joys that made life meaningful. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and the way he could make anyone feel welcome. Everyone who knew him respected his incredible work ethic and caring heart.
After retiring at the age of 60, Sal embraced the life he loved most. He enjoyed gardening, making homemade wine, soppressata, tomato sauce, and spending time caring for his chickens, pheasants, and pigeons. He loved riding his tractor, working with his hands, and being outdoors. More than anything, Sal cherished Sunday lunches with his children and creating a life filled with tradition, love, and togetherness.
His friends and loved ones will forever remember his unforgettable sense of humor, his kindness, and above all, his generosity.
His strength, wisdom, and unconditional love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Rosetta Bello; his children, Genny Bello Milbourne (Keith), Sabrina Clauser (Gregory Sr.), Salvatore Bello Jr. (Nicole), Daniel Bello (Monica), and Celeste Bello; along with his cherished grandchildren Noah, Gregory Jr., Sonny, Birt and Lennox; brothers, Mario Bello and Carmine Bello; sisters, Rachele Recupido, Rose Sepe, and Giuseppina Conte; as well as extended family members, and many lifelong friends.
Sal is preceded in death by his brother, Gennaro Bello and his sister, Aurora Clemente.
The family asks that Sal be remembered not only for the way he died, but for the way he lived with strength, humility, kindness, and deep love for his family.
Family and friends are invited to attend Sal’s viewing on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 6pm to 8pm at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405.
