Samuel M. "Mr. Sam" Larcinese passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the Sanatoga Center in Pottstown, PA. He was 85. Mr. Larcinese was a former resident of Bridgeport, PA. He worked for 30 years as a maintenance person for the Upper Merion Area School District in the Bridgeport schools. Mr. Sam was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA, where he was a member of their Congrega and he was an annual feast worker.Mr. Larcinese was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving from 1943 to 1946 in the European and African Theatres of Operation. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.Born in Bridgeport, PA on May 26, 1925, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Philomena (Porrecca) Larcinese. Surviving are his loving family including a sister, Lena Zeigler of Douglassville, PA and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, John A. Larcinese and a sister, Mary Cornacchio. Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 10:30am. His viewing is Thursday morning from 9 to 10:20am, at church. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Samuel's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
