Samuel A. Pepe passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Coatesville VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA. He was 91. Mr. Pepe was a resident of Villas, NJ and was previously of South West Philadelphia, PA. He worked as a stationary engineer for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad in Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of St. Raymond's R.C. Church in Villas, NJ, where he was an usher at Sunday Mass. Samuel was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3546 in Erma, NJ and the Men of Malvern for 60 consecutive years. He made flag poles and encouraged people to fly the American flag. Mr. Pepe was a US Navy veteran of WW II, serving in the European and Pacific Theatres of Operation. Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 18, 1917, he was a son of the late Angelo M. and Concetta (Mongelli) Pepe. He was the husband of the late Rita Mary (Infanti) Pepe, who died in 1988. Surviving are his loving family including a daughter, Conchetta M. DeFrancesco and her husband, Joseph of King of Prussia, PA; three grandchildren: Joseph, Darren & Melissa; six great-grandchildren: Nicole, Meghan, Danielle, Mikayla, Mikenna & Nolan; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Clara Pepe; five brothers: Anthony, Albert, John, Michael & Joseph; and a sister, Rose Tamburrino.Relatives & Friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at St. Raymond's R.C. Church, 25 E. Hudson Ave., Villas, NJ 08251 on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 1:30pm. Friends may call Friday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:20pm, at the church. Interment in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Marple Twp., PA on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:30am.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Raymond's Church, BVM Altar Flower Fund, 25 E.
