Sara Tomlinson Wasson

We are sad to announce the passing of Sara Tomlinson Wasson, 59, of Jenkintown Pennsylvania. Sara passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on April 18, 2025.

Sara was born to Daniel and Sally Tomlinson on April 28, 1965, in Abington Pennsylvania. She had her first date with William Wasson 42 years ago and they recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. She leaves behind a son, Daniel (Felicia), a daughter Courtney (Nicholas) and a precious granddaughter, Winnie. Sara is also survived by her two sisters, Elizabeth Kenney and Page O’Donnell, and a large extended family who adored her.

Sara graduated from Central Bucks West in 1983, and from the University of Delaware with a degree in economics in 1987. Upon graduation, she began a successful 33-year career at The Vanguard Group. She was an active member at Immaculate Conception Parish in Jenkintown and an avid golfing member of North Hills Country Club.

Sara was a quiet and kind presence to her admiring friends and family. She was the encouraging listener, and the laughter in the front row in the lives of everyone she loved. She was deeply faithful, stylish and amazingly athletic. Sara served others in every way she could, every day. Her courage through cancer and her gratitude for her beautiful life and family were indescribable. She will be deeply missed by so many.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass at 10:30 am on Thursday April 24, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Church at 606 West Avenue Jenkintown PA 19046. The family will greet guests from 9:15 am to 10:15 am at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sara’s name to The Carter D.
