Sarah M. (Hatch) Griffith

Sarah M. "Nan" (Hatch) Griffith passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. She was 91. Mrs. Griffith was a resident of King of Prussia PA. She was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. Nan graduated from St. Catherine's High School in Wayne, PA. She was a devoted mother who raised six children. Nan worked part time for 20 years for the former Valley Forge Drug Store. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Villanova Boys Basketball fan. Nan loved the Jersey shore and attending her grandkids and great-grandkids sporting events and other activities. Born in Rosemont, PA on August 26, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Catherine (McClafferty) Hatch. She was the wife of the late Leo H. Griffith, who died in 2005. Surviving are her loving family including three sons, Leo E. Griffith and his wife, Patricia of King of Prussia, PA, Jack G. Griffith and his wife Shirley of King of Prussia, PA and Robert H. Griffith and his wife, Sherri of King of Prussia, PA; three daughters, Patricia Daub and her husband, Kenneth of Grand Junction, CO, Catherine S. Cooper and her husband, Ron of King of Prussia, PA and Marie A. Marczak and her husband, Fran of Galveston, TX; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kean Steinhofer and her husband, Pete of King of Prussia, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jordan Bono; a sister, Mary Leddy; and 2 brothers, John & Pete Hatch.Relatives & Friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 10:30am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. Friends may call Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:20am, at the church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nan's memory to Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406.
