Serafina T. "Fanny" (Damiani) Collins passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. She was 91. Mrs. Collins was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She graduated from the former Bridgeport High School, Class of 1941. Fanny worked for the former A & P, Chatlins Department Store, Reading Railroad and as a receptionist for Dr. Gerald LeGendre. She was a member of the former St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA. Born in Bridgeport, PA on January 4, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Assunta "Susan" (Marcheggiano) Damiani. She was the wife of the late Francis V. "Fritz" Collins, who died in July of 2014. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Stephen & Debbie Collins of King of Prussia, PA and William & Judy Collins of Cuenca, Ecuador; a daughter, Francine & James Spence of Whitemarsh, PA; three grandchildren: Clint Collins, Devon Collins and Brooke Spence; a brother, Thomas & Lucy Damiani of King of Prussia, PA; two sisters, Gina & Mike Guidas of Bridgeport, PA and Theresa & Charles Figaniak of Philadelphia, PA; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Nicholas, Joseph and Louis; and two sisters, Mary Vuotto and Louise Matozza. Fanny's Prayer Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 10 to 10:50 am, at the funeral home.
