Sheila Devine

Sheila Devine, 90, died peacefully on May 30, 2026. She was born to William and Ruth (nee Davis) Horowitz, on August 4, 1935, in Bronx, NY. She married Julius Ross in 1953. Sheila is survived by their two children, Jennifer (husband Michael) and Peter (wife Barbra), and four grandsons: Jacob Shapiro, Larry, Josh, and Steven Ross. Sheila was married twice more, to the late Maurice Wolman and to the late John Devine. She lived the last 28 years of her life in Lutz, FL, much of that time with her partner, Lowrey Whitson. Sheila was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a volunteer, a teacher, and a business owner. She celebrated life, living on her own terms, and in the way she chose – often surrounded by good friends. In accordance with Sheila’s wishes, she has been cremated. The family plans to hold a private gathering later in the year to celebrate Sheila's life.
