Shirley J. (Diehl) Knauer

Shirley J. (Diehl) Knauer passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. She was 82. Mrs. Knauer was a resident of Norristown, PA. She worked as a production worker for Streamlight in Lower Providence, PA and Dills Products in Norristown, PA. Shirley was also a caregiver for many years. Born in Sellersville, PA on October 9, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Helen M. (Grebe) Diehl. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 58 years, Paul Knauer, Sr.; a daughter, Holly J. Knauer of Norristown, PA; 4 grandchildren: Brandy Fazio, Taylor and Kenneth Knauer and Gregory Briggs; and former daughter-in-law, Donna Benz of Jeffersonville, PA. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul D. Knauer, Jr. and a brother, Earl Diehl.Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11:30am. Officiating will be the Rev. Leslie Kearney. Shirley's viewing will be Monday morning from 10 to 11:20am, at the funeral home.
