Shirley L. Roberts-Wacker

Shirley L. (Price) Roberts-Wacker passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Dock Woods Nursing Facility in Lansdale, PA. She was 83. Mrs. Roberts-Wacker was a graduate of Lewistown High School and went on to graduate from Bryn Mawr School of Nursing. She pursued a career of helping others as a Registered Nurse at several locations including working with Dr. Black in Lewistown, PA, Poly Clinic in Harrisburg, PA, the Visiting Nurses Association in Perry County, PA and the State Hospital in Harrisburg. Shirley was an avid sports fan enjoying football and baseball. Shirley and her husband, John lived in many places including Cedar Run, PA, and Bishop's Head on the Chesapeake, MD. Born in Bellwood, PA on March 6, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Bower H. and Beulah M. (Nelson) Price. She was the wife of the late Donald Roberts and the late John P. Wacker. Surviving is her loving family including four children: Thomas M. Roberts and his wife, Valerie, Nancy J. Jacobsen and her husband, Mark, D.J. Roberts and his wife, Geri, and Cheryl Ann Lally; six grandchildren: Jennifer, Becca, Allison, Lyndi, Vance and Jake; a brother, Duane Price; a sister, Mary (Joseph) Disabella; three brothers-in-law: Charles, Edward (Maureen), and Joseph (Phylis) Wacker; three sisters-in-law: Patty (Tommy) Fraschetta, Catherine (John) Galloway and Theresa Price; and many nephews, nieces and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Price, and a sister, Anna Mae Weaver.Relatives and friends are invited to Shirley's Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 12 noon. Her viewing is Thursday from 11 to 11:50 am, at the funeral home.
