Stanley A. Allan Stanley A. Allan, 96, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, August 6th. Stanley was born in Cleveland, OH on August 23, 1923. He served in the U.S. Army as a platoon Sgt. in WWII. He earned the American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star, and the Good Conduct Medal. Stanley was also proud of being the most “kissed” soldier in the Army. Stanley enjoyed many happy years as an avid boater on the Delaware River and the Chesapeake Bay. He loved fishing and enjoying a cold beer with his boating family. He was a member of St. Katherine of Siena Parish in Philadelphia, PA. Preceded in death by his parents George and Amy (Dudley), his sister Virginia (Strecker) and his granddaughter Tracy Lynn. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Dolores ‘Dolly’ (Bonner), loving Father of Joseph (Catherine), Maureen, and Michael (Lynne). Devoted Grandfather of Brian, Joseph, Michael, Amanda, and Great Grandfather of Brandon Allan and Hannah and Hailey Ryan. Stanley is also survived by his two sisters Amy Kennedy and Laura Bjerring. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, August 13th from 9:15-10:15 AM followed by his funeral mass at 10:30 AM both at St. Katherine of Siena Church 9700 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery Bensalem, PA. His service will also be live streamed on our website beginning at 9:15 AM.
