Stella Banski

Stella Banski, 92 passed away on October 26, 2016. She was born in Woodlynne, NJ to the late Paul and Eva Melko. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles (Chuck) Banski. Stella is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Banski and her partner, David C. Wertime, along with many nieces and nephews. As a young professional Stella was an RCA typing pool supervisor. After marrying she focused her energy and talents on family, home and church. She and her husband partnered to establish and manage Machine Shop Services. Stella was proud of her polish heritage and enjoyed preparing and serving many traditional dishes. Stella was an avid gardener who harvested and canned her home grown vegetables and fruits. She enjoyed baking pies, cakes and other goodies. Stella and her husband shared a compassion and enjoyment for animals. They rehabilitated birds and provided a home for cats that Stella affectionately referred to as her “babies.” Stella was an avid Pinochle player and football fan. She especially valued sharing good times and love with family and friends. Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Stella’s life on Saturday, October 29, 2016. A viewing will be from 8:45-9:45 am followed by a funeral mass 10 am at St. Teresa of Avila 1260 South Trooper Rd., Norristown, Pa 19403. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery 202 W Dekalb Pike, King of Prussia, PA 19406 In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
