Stella Edda (LaPenta) Bellitta passed away peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Eagleville, PA. She was 91. Mrs. Bellitta was a resident of Norristown, PA. She worked for Johnson & Johnson for many years. Stella was a member of Holy Saviour Church in Norristown, PA and was active with the Disabled American Veterans, serving as treasurer for many years. She enjoyed bingo, cooking, watching the Hallmark Channel, casino trips and traveling with her husband. Stella also loved Riunite wine and her son-in-law’s home-made wine. Most of all, she loved spending time with her five generations of nieces and nephews. Born in Plymouth Meeting, PA on June 21, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Marguerite (Palmerio) LaPenta; and the wife of the late Joseph C. Bellitta, Sr., who died in 2009. Surviving is her daughter, Joanne M. Bondi and her husband, Joseph; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph C. Bellitta, Jr.; two brothers, Joseph and Daniel LaPenta; and seven sisters: Teresa Modestine, Philomena Sparano, Antoinette Tuturice, Margaret Cognato, Rita Doherty, Susie Picariello and Mary Cooper. Relatives and friends are invited to Stella's viewing at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown, PA on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 8:30 am to 9:45 am; followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Social distancing and masks are required. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Stella’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America, 100 N. 20th Street, Suite 405, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
