STELLA LUKIEWSKI.
Formerly of Cheltenham PA, Stella Lukiewski died peacefully at Morningside House in Blue Bell, PA on February 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Franciszek Czuba and Veronica Czuba (nee Kruza). She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, Edward Lukiewski and her siblings, Helena Eleanor Dramis, Stanley Czuba, Jane Haughney, John Czuba and Laura Dunn.
Stella’s Catholic faith was at the foundation of her life. She was a founding member the Sodality of Our Lady at St. Adalbert’s Church, Philadelphia. A daily communicant, she was also active as a Eucharistic Minister in St. James Parish, Elkins Park for many years.
Stella attended Helen Fleisher Vocational School and became an expert seamstress and dressmaker. Upon graduation, she began a career which spanned forty years at Sabra Lee Dress Shop. Stella’s creativity and skill were evident in her many projects, which included making wedding dresses, draperies, or doing alterations. Later in life she turned her hand to oil painting. Her paintings gave her and others great joy and inspiration.
Stella is survived by her loving children: Nancy Hagdorn (George), Sr. Linda Lukiewski S.S.J., Joan Cardellino, Edward Lukiewski, Jr. (Susan), Mary Larson (Drew), Victoria Lukiewski-Powell (Steven), and Christopher Lukiewski (Tracey) and by her 11 grand-children: Andrew Hagdorn, Matthew, John Luke and Mark Cardellino, Thomas Lukiewski, Nathan, Adam, Sarah Larson, Erica Lambert, Elizabeth Courtney and Laura Powell and by her 7 great-grandchildren: Liam and Colin Hagdorn, Josephine Rose and Lillian Merie Cardellino, Stella Lukiewski, Brynn Elizabeth and Shay Elise Courtney.
Family and friends are invited to her Visitation on Saturday February 22, 2025 from 9:30 – 10:45 AM and to her Funeral Mass at 11 A.M, both at St. Adalbert Church 2645 E. Allegheny Ave. in Philadelphia, PA. Her interment will be at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Villa, 110 W.
