Stephen A. Krajnik

March 27, 1925 — January 28, 2015

Stephen A. Krajnik passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Brandywine Senior Living in Norristown, PA. He was 89. Mr. Krajnik was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1954. He worked as a geologist for the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District, until his retirement in 1990. Stephen was elected as a member of the District's Gallery of Distinguished Employees. He was a member of the former Our Mother of Sorrows Church in Bridgeport. He enjoyed gardening and dancing, and loved listening to music. Mr. Krajnik was a US Army veteran of WW II. He served from 1944 to 1946 in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. Born in Swedesburg, PA on March 27, 1925, he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Komarc) Krajnik. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 64 years, Sue (Marinari) Krajnik; a son, Stephen A. Krajnik (Pam Propson) of King of Prussia, PA; two daughters, Sylvia A. (Anthony) Pizza of King of Prussia, PA and Paula A. (Chris) Davis of Collegeville, PA; seven grandchildren: Natalie and Stephanie Pizza, Susan Steuber, Elizabeth Cheever, Brian Davis, Emily and Stephen T. Krajnik; five great-grandchildren: Michael, Eric, Andrew, Amelia and Leyla; a brother, George Krajnik of King Manor, PA; two sisters, Agnes (Raymond) Novitski of E. Norriton, PA and Mary Krajnik of E. Norriton, PA; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Paul. Relatives & friends are invited to Stephen's Funeral Mass at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Worship Site, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10:00 am. His viewings are Friday evening from 6 to 8pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA; also Saturday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the worship site.
