Steven C. Bickley

July 27, 1948 — December 18, 2017

Steven C. Bickley made his way to heaven on December 18th, 2017 from his long time King of Prussia home at the age of 69. Parmie, Hubby, Dad, Pops, Pop Pop, Brother, Uncle Steve. His journey was peaceful, private and shared only with his loving wife, Betty. He left behind a victorious battle with ALS, living out the rest of his days with no ventilator, no medication, and symptom free. With Jesus as his wingman, Steve lived out his life in his own way, surpassing all end of life expectations, fighting his disease to the very end until he finally conquered it and passed, ill free and welcoming a perfect body with triumphant rejoice. Steve started off every morning with his Bible and coffee on the front porch, spending time with the Lord. He loved the sun in his face and soaking in the fresh air no matter what the weather. Always quick with a joke or a fun prank, all good times seemed to have started whenever he was present. Steve had a love for music, a drummer by nature he played his heart out with his band, The Answer and as a sit in headphone-stereo drummer to Elvis, ZZ Top and Robert Palmer. He had a limitless love for chocolate and Tabasco along with his work ethic of a “no work-no eat”, constantly taking pride in his lawn, his pool and even the neighbors yards. Steve was a provider, not only to his wife of 49 years, but also to his daughter, Jessica (grandchildren, Kayla, Jade and Trey); son, Jason and wife, Joan (grandchildren, Kenet and Sophia). He was a strong role model for the Lord, both in morals and value. He met all of the needs for his family, as they had everything and more that they desired. The door to Steve’s home was forever open, welcoming visitors, friends and family with love and compassion to swim or barbeque, making sure that you left his home with a copy of the Gospel of John. He used his disease for the work of God, not only unifying the Bickley family, but anyone who came in contact with us. A private service will be held by the family on Wednesday, December 20th, following a celebration of his life TBD at a later date. “I desire that my family remember me living rather than dying. It would be too hard on me to see your faces as I go. I will be at peace in Heaven with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in my new perfect glorified body. I will see you there if the Lord wills.” Gone but not forgotten, In lieu of will be welcomed to: Faith Comes By Hearing In memory of Steven C. Bickley 800-545-6552 2421 Aztec Road NE Albuquerque, NM 87107
