Sue Ann Gibson

Sue Ann Gibson (Kellett) Age 46 of New Castle DE passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 23, 2010. Sue was born in Wilmington DE on August 29, 1964, Daughter of Nancy (Ellis) Hutchison and the late James W. Kellett. Sue was a homemaker, loving wife and mother, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt and a friend; Sue loved spending time with her family especially at her children’s sporting events, where she liked to assist in the concession stands. She loved the beach and enjoyed family vacation trips to Wildwood NJ and the Pocono mountains. Her family will also treasure happy memories from family camping trips they shared. Sue was an avid pet lover and never failed to open her home and her heart to any stray or homeless animal that found its way to her.  Sue was a kind gentle person who was always the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need, as demonstrated by her final request and donation to the Gift of Life. Sue will be sadly missed by her family and friends, each of whom she loved and cared for dearly. Sue is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband Michael and their sons John and James, her mother Nancy Hutchison, stepfather Charles and stepmother Janice Kellett; her sister Kathryn McGinnes and her husband Dick, as well as her step sister and brother, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Sue was preceded in death by her father James W. Kellett, her brothers Christopher and Daniel Hutchison, and her grandparents who were waiting with open arms to welcome her home. To honor Sue’s wishes the funeral service and burial will be held privately. Sue’s greatest hopes and dreams were for her son’s educations, therefore, in lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the John and James Gibson Educational Fund C/O TD Bank; checks may be made payable to “John and James Gibson Educational Fund” and sent to any TD Bank Branch.
