Susan Leonard

Susan (nee Schafer) Leonard passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. She was 65 years old. Susan was born on April 25, 1959 in Bryn Mawr, PA. She was a longtime resident of King of Prussia, PA and a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Conshohocken. During childhood she attended Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. Susan graduated from Upper Merion High School, class of 1977. She was the loving wife of Richard J. Leonard for 43 years. Above everything, Susan truly loved being a mother and “Mimi” to her beloved grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Richard, Susan is survived by 3 children, Ian Leonard (Lisa), Ashley Howitz (Wayne), and Patrick Belford (Katie); 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Sam, Morgan, Ben, Hailey; one grandchild on the way; as well as many other family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Susan’s viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Wednesday evening, August 21 2024, from 5 to 7pm. A second viewing will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the funeral home from 8:30-9:30am; with her Funeral Mass following at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd. King of Prussia, PA 19406 at 10:30am. Eulogy will begin at 10:20am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA.
