Susan Theresa Dayoc

Susan Theresa “Sue” (nee DiSanto) Dayoc passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024 at her home in Bridgeport, PA surrounded by her loving family. Sue was a lifetime resident of Bridgeport and a member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and Sacred Heart Church, both in Bridgeport. Sue was very active in her former parish, volunteering for the annual Mt. Carmel feast, acting as a Eucharistic Minister, and participating in the Mother’s Club at the school. Sue truly valued the Catholic Church and had a particular devotion to The Blessed Mother and St. Theresa. She was a kind and nurturing person, who truly loved her vocation as a nurse. Sue worked as a registered nurse in multiple avenues including a private practice with Dr. Natoli, Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, and the Pathway School in Audubon. Above all, she was a tremendous mother and grandmother who devoted so much of her time and love to her children and grandchildren.

Born on May 4, 1937 in Norristown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Carmella (nee Storti) and Anthony J. DiSanto, Sr. She was also the loving wife of Robert “Rock” T. Dayoc, Sr., who passed away in 2014.

Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Robert T. Dayoc, Jr. and Stephen Dayoc (Samantha Bossick); her daughter, Susan Dunleavy (John); three grandchildren, John R. “Jack” Dunleavy (Melissa Fisher), Nicole L. Dunleavy, and Andrew S. Dayoc; two brothers, Anthony J. DiSanto, Jr. (Mary) and Charles P. DiSanto (Andrea); her sister, Phil Franzoni (Harry); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sue’s viewing at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 9am to 10:15am; with her Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30am. Entombment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery Mausoleum, E. Norriton, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sue’s memory to Sacred Heart Church at 120 Jefferson St. Bridgeport, PA 19405.
