Suzanne (Geist) Spollen

Suzanne (Geist) Spollen passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Phoenixville, PA. She was 54. Suzanne lived in Phoenixville for the past 25 years and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. She graduated from Upper Merion High School, earned a MS degree in Education from Cabrini College and a BS degree in Education from Kutztown University. Suzanne worked as a Special Education Teacher with the Chester County Intermediate Unit. She co-founded the Footsteps Academy, a Christian pre-school in King of Prussia, PA. Mrs. Spollen was a member of Hope Community Church in King of Prussia.Born in Plainfield, NJ on September 14, 1957, she was a beloved daughter of Helen A. (Hill) Geist of Phoenixville, PA and the late Robert G. Geist. Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband of 31 years, Joseph F. Spollen; 2 sons, Sean Ryan Spollen of Chapel Hill, NC and Peter Joseph Spollen of Columbia, SC; a daughter, Brigid Lee Spollen of Phoenixville, PA; 2 brothers, Larry Geist and his wife, Kathleen, of West Point, PA and Stephen Geist and his wife, Donna, of Royersford, PA; 2 sisters, Mary Lou Driver and her husband, Mark, and Amy Wilson and her husband, Geoffrey, both of Phoenixville, PA; and many nephews and nieces.Relatives and friends are invited to Suzanne's Memorial Service at Hope Community Church, 150 East Beidler Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 3:00 pm. www.hope--cc.orgIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Suzanne's memory to The Footsteps Academy, 740 N.
