Sylvia Emma Jane Griffith

Sylvia Emma Jane (Diehl) Griffith, of West Norriton, PA. passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 after a short illness. Sylvia was born March 17, 1934 to the late Laura (Knappenberger) Diehl and Thomas Diehl. After a career in the restaurant business, she was currently employed by Dermatology Associates of Plymouth Meeting, a job she enjoyed getting up for each and every day. Sylvia loved working with her customers and especially her co-workers, those of whom she cared for as family. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she was active at the VFW Valley Forge Post 7878, holding positions which included Acting President. She attended Grace Lutheran Church, Haws Avenue, Norristown. Sylvia is survived by her children, Donna DeFrangesco (Bob), George (Renee), David, William and Gene (Sandy); grandchildren, Courtney and Marissa Griffith, Antonio Bono III and Shane Reeves; and a great grandson, Christian Bono. Also survived by her sisters, Joyce Quackenbos (Andy), Nancy Shaw (Larry), Mabel Kirk, Sally Fronheiser (Grant), Shirley Koch, Floss Andrews (Gary) and Faye Shelley (Jim). Also many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a sister, Margareuite Kulp; brothers, Thomas Diehl and Paul D. Wolf; and a grandson, Christopher Griffith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, at the Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, P.C., 101 North Park Avenue (Route 363), Trooper, PA. Viewing will be 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment following in Limerick Garden of Memories.
