Taylor Marie Lackford

Taylor Lackford, 33, of Newark, Delaware, passed away on June 18, 2026, in her hometown. Born on October 14, 1992, in Newark, Taylor spent her life surrounded by the community and people she loved.

Taylor attended Newark Charter School and later continued her education at Newark High School. Her creative spirit and artistic talents were evident from a young age. She had a remarkable gift for photography, capturing moments with an eye for detail that brought her subjects to life. In addition to her photography, Taylor was a skilled artist who worked with various mediums to create stunning drawings that reflected her unique perspective and passion for art.

A devoted animal lover, Taylor shared her home with a variety of beloved pets who brought joy to her life. Among them were Mama and MewTwo, two rescued cats she adored, and Lizzy, a foster dog who became a permanent member of the family thanks to Taylor's unwavering care and affection. Her dedication to animals extended beyond her own household as she found fulfillment in caring for all creatures great and small.

Taylor is survived by her mother, Nancy Lackford; her stepfather, Michael Anderson; her brother, Dustin Lackford; her step-sister Bert Anderson; her step-brother Eric Anderson and her boyfriend, Jesse Forbes. She also leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will remember her warmth and creativity. She was predeceased by her father, Craig Lackford; her aunt Sharon McCubbin as well as her grandparents, John and Lois Arnold.

Taylor's vibrant personality and artistic legacy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May the memories of her kindness and creativity bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
