Teresa E. Fox

Teresa E. (Schmid) Fox passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016. Along with her late husband, James A. Fox, Teresa was an active member of the King of Prussia community and Mother of Divine Providence Parish for over 50 years. Born May 25, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA, Teresa was the daughter of the late Francis L. and Marie (Curley) Schmid. Growing up in West Oak Lane, she was one of eight sisters, with whom she always remained close. A graduate of Little Flower High School (1952) and Fitzgerald Mercy School of Nursing (1955), Teresa was dedicated to her nursing profession, most recently practicing at Bryn Mawr Hospital. As a wife, mother and nurse, Teresa was happiest when helping others. More than anything she enjoyed being with and supporting her children, grandchildren, and extended family - hosting big family meals, attending sporting activities, and playing on the beach in Ocean City. Teresa is survived by her children: Anne T. Pellicano (Greg), James G. Fox (Karen), Bernadette M. Lielke (Mark), Megan C. Zandi (Peter), and Thomas J. Fox; 10 grandchildren; her sisters, Sissy Waldron, Bernadette Dougherty, Marie Sheehan (Tim), and Toni McCollum (Joe); and many other loving family members. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter in-law, GinaMarie Fox; and sisters, Eileen Burke, Patricia Day, and Francis Denise Hagan. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 6-8 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 Dekalb St., Bridgeport, PA and on Saturday, April 2, from 9-9:45 am, at Mother Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10 am.
