Theresa F. (Biscotti) DeStefano passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 25, 2009 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA, surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 and was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. Mrs. DeStefano was a retired seamstress and worked for the former Modern Bridal Store in King of Prussia, PA. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA, where she was very active with the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality of which she was the president for many years. She also belonged to the church's Congrega and volunteered for the annual feast in the Pizza Fritta stand. Theresa was also a member of Elks Lodge 714 in Bridgeport, PA. Born in Bridgeport, PA on May 19, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Gesullo) Biscotti. She was the wife of the Late Salvatore J. DeStefano, Jr. who died in 2002. Surviving is her loving family including four sons, S. David (Kathryne) of King of Prussia, PA, Ronald J. (Donna) of Pottstown, PA, James P. (Patrice) of Phoenixville, PA and Paul R. (Lisa) of King of Prussia, PA; four daughters, Rose Elaine Rullo of Jeffersonville, PA, Sally A. (John) Tornetta of Pottstown, PA, Maureen (Mary) DeStefano of Norristown, PA and Brenda A. (Mark) Shepperd of King of Prussia, PA; twenty six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Julia Carfagno of E. Norriton, PA, Josephine Boccella of Harleysville, PA and Rosemarie (Edward) Salkowski of Bridgeport, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Marie DeStefano, seven brothers and three sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:00am. Interment St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. Her Viewings will be Monday evening from 6 to 8pm at The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., (Route 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405, also Tuesday morning from 9 to 9:45am, at the church. The Elks Memorial Service will be at Monday evening at 7:30pm, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Theresa's memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 and/or Montgomery Hospice, 25 W.
