Theresa A. (Mulkern) Mccabe

Theresa A. (Mulkern) McCabe passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at her residence of 60 years in King of Prussia, PA. She was 82. Mrs. McCabe was a loving homemaker and she worked as an A/R clerk for Smith-Kline Clinical Labs in King of Prussia, PA, until her retirement in 1992. She was a founding member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA, where she was a member of the Legion of Mary. Theresa also hosted her own card club and she was blessed with the gift of a good conversation.Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 21, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Anna (Sheehan) Mulkern. She was the wife of the late James M. McCabe, who died on July 31, 2013. Surviving is her loving family including four sons: Jim McCabe and his wife, Velia, of N. Wales, PA; Jeff McCabe and his wife, Leigh, of King of Prussia, PA; Gary McCabe and his wife, Donna, of Lower Providence, PA; and Glenn McCabe and his wife, Sandra, of Downingtown, PA; a daughter, Mary Beth Capaldo and her husband, Andrew, of Phoenixville, PA; 17 grandchildren: Meghan (Rob), Jimmy, Elyse, Joseph (Angela), Christopher, Katie, Melissa, Natalie (Jean), Jacqueline, Lauren, Gary, Daniel (Maggie), Jaime, Gregory (Erica), Regina, Andrew and Julianne; 5 great-grandchildren: Molly, Maggie, Sam, Murphy and Mac; a sister, Kate Tangert and her husband, Jim, of Philadelphia, PA; a brother, Fr. Daniel Mulkern, TOR of Loretta, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Florence Mulkern; and a sister, Mary A. Davis.Relatives & friends are invited to Theresa's Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Her viewing will be Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11:45 am, at the church.
