Theresa V. (Urbano) Rosa

Theresa Virginia (Urbano) Rosa, age 89, formerly of Bridgeport, PA went to heaven peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Villa Saint Martha in Downingtown PA.Born in Swedeland, PA to Philomena and Antonio Urbano on July 27, 1924, Theresa was married for 67 years to Emidio Rosa of Bridgeport, PA. She resided in Bridgeport for many years before moving with her husband to Villa St. Martha's in Downingtown, PA. She was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport and served on the Mother's Club for many years as well. She will always be remembered fondly by her friends for her generosity, love and kindness. Theresa's passion and undying love for her children and grandchildren will be missed tremendously and was apparent to all that knew her.Theresa is survived by her loving family including her husband, Emidio Rosa of Downingtown, PA; two sons, Jeffrey (Debbie) Rosa of East Fallowfield, PA and David (Gretchen) Rosa of Eden Prairie, MN; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philomena and Antonio Urbano; brothers: Nicholas Urbano, Roland Urbano, Marino Urbano; and a sister, Jean Perri.Relatives and friends are invited to Theresa's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 11:00 am. Her viewing is Tuesday from 10 to 10:50 am, at the church.
