Theresa H. Samanns, 91, of Tacony in Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Nazareth Hospital. Theresa was born in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia, PA on July 10, 1929, daughter of the late Blanche (Wisniewski) and William E. Gorman. She was a loving sister to the late Josephine McAnally, Stella Czerniak, Anne Lehr, Loretta Hart, Catherine O'Donnell and 3 brothers John W., Robert W., and Charles. She worked many years at the Naval Aviation Supply Depot in Northeast Philadelphia and also enjoyed working for the Missionary Servants of the Blessed Trinity. She was a former member of St. Leo the Great Church along with Our Lady of Consolation Church until she entered Wesley Enhanced Living in January 2019. Theresa and Ed were totally devoted to each other since October 3, 1953, the date of their marriage and now will joyfully be reunited. She enjoyed many years with Ed attending weddings, christenings, birthday and anniversary parties for their family and friends. Theresa loved her trips to the Casino along with other memorable vacations. She will be sadly missed by many loving nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday morning, July 8, 9:30 to 10:20 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 7056 Tulip Street in Philadelphia. Interment will be at St. Dominic's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity, 3501 Solly Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19136.
