Theresa E. (Degennaro) Schwartz

Theresa Elena (DeGennaro) Schwartz passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in the Meadows at Shannondell in Audubon, PA. She was 90. Mrs. Schwartz was a resident of King of Prussia, PA and a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church. Formally trained in library sciences at Villanova University, she actively volunteered her time at several of the local parish-school libraries ranging from, but not limited to, Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic High School in her earlier years and Mother of Divine Providence Catholic School in her twilight years. Theresa was also an avid skier - she was a member of the local Valley Forge Ski Club and had the pleasure of being ranked 3rd fastest woman nationwide for NASTAR racing in the Over 70 Ski Club. Born in Camden, NJ on June 16, 1920, she was a daughter of Agostino and Helen (Rosa) DeGennaro, and the wife of James Joseph Schwartz, who died in 1997. Surviving her are 3 daughters: Suzanne J. Doyle of Portland, OR, Janet A. Righter of Royersford, PA and Christine D. Bennet of Bridgeport, PA; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa L. Stosch.Relatives & friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10:00am. Her viewing will be Friday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church.
