Thomas Davis

Thomas Davis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Arden Courts Assisted Living in King of Prussia, PA. He was 91. Mr. Davis was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He worked as a radial drill operator for Philadelphia Gear and then an assembler for Hale Pumps in Conshohocken, PA, until his retirement in the 1990’s. Thomas was a member of the Lulu Temple and the United Steel Workers. He was a Philadelphia Mummer and played the banjo for the Greater Kensington String Band. Thomas was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 27, 1928, he was a son of the late Andrew A. and Clara A. (Schrandt) Davis, and the husband of the late Anne M. (Hirschmann) Davis. Surviving is his loving family including a daughter, Barbara A. Gray and her husband, James, of Norristown, PA; 2 sons, Thomas S. Davis of Bridgeport, PA and Francis V. Davis and his wife, Maryann, of King of Prussia, PA; 8 grandchildren: Colleen, Christine, Jennifer, Annette, Nicole, Thomas, Frank and Courtney; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Harvey, Andrew, Edward and Harry; and 2 sisters, Clara Slavin and Wilamenna Sharp. Relatives and friends are invited to Thomas’ viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 9 to 10:20 am, with his Prayer Service starting at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
