Thomas A. Economy

Thomas A. Economy passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown, PA. He was 86. Mr. Economy was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a salvage clerk for Peco/Exelon. Tom was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. He was an avid golfer who loved traveling and nature, especially the mountains and seashore. Tom was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 13, 1929, he was a son of the late Joseph and Caroline (Leible) Economy. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Patricia M. (Wright) Economy; two sons, Brian Economy and his wife, Donna, of W. Norriton and Douglas E. of San Antonio, TX; a daughter, Carol Ann Economy of Phoenixville, PA; two grandchildren, Matthew and Amber; a great-grandson, Grayson; a brother, Robert Economy of Media, PA; a sister, Dolores MacLaren of Ponte Vedra, FL; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas F. Economy; two brothers, Richard and Joseph Economy; and a sister-in-law, Inez Economy. Relatives and friends are invited to Tom’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics of PA, 2570 Boulevard of the Generals, Suite 124, Norristown, PA 19403.
