Thomas J. Green, Jr.

Thomas J. Green, Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was 88. Mr. Green was a resident of Wayne, PA. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force. He retired in 1987 from Boeing Vertol, where he was an aeronautical engineer. He was a parishioner of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA for over 50 years. A member of the American Aviation Historical Society, Tom loved to build and fly model airplanes, setting time records with his designs. He was a skilled amateur photographer. Tom and his poker buddies have kept a game going for more than five decades. Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 25, 1926, he was the son of the late Florence (Elliot) Green and Thomas J. Green, Sr. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Margaret D. (Guetter) Green; 3 daughters: Deborah A. Green of New York, NY, Nancy M. Green and her husband, Jeffrey Aron of New York, NY and Maggie Green and her husband, Frank Keirsey of Oaks, PA; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Therese Fanning and Patricia Palmer. Relatives and friends are invited to Tom's Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:30 am. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9 to 10:20 am, at the church. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom's memory to St. Anthony's Bread at franciscanmissionassoc.org.
